About Seventh Avenue Theatre

Seventh Avenue Theatre is a small independent company that stages plays and writes about the craft of making them.

We're volunteer-led and proudly unglamorous. The mission is plain: keep live theatre near, affordable and open to anyone who wants to try it — on stage or in the seats. Nobody here is paid to have opinions about theatre; we just make it and then write down what we learned.

What this journal is for

Most writing about theatre is either review or theory. Very little of it explains how a company with no money actually gets a show up. That gap is what these pages are for — season planning, lighting a room with what you have, and the unglamorous policies that turn a venue into a habit for the people around it.
